We are on the verge of one party politics, the shortest slippery road in fascism. Some would see this as exaggeration but history has taught us we are on the precipice of a very nasty political reality.

We're not on the verge, we are already up to our necks in it. The LibLabCon party has ensured that we, the ordinary people of this country, no longer get a say in what any government does.

If you vote for any of the main parties you're just setting the noose around your own neck.

Here in the US, we've already got a Uniparty. Looks like you're in similar straits.

Do we think these rules will also apply to riots and protests by Right Wing thugs who intend to target peaceful protest with the set intent of turning them violent? Or will the police turn a blind eye to those?

We will protest about the lack of protest

It all started with Brexit...

Yikes sounds like the beginning of a novel, or maybe a horror movie, on a cold and stormy night in Britlandshire, nothing and no one stirred and yet... :-/

If your knowledge of politics in this country only goes back to 2016, Yes. If you've been paying attention since 1989 you'll know the decline and deception goes much deeper than that shallow perception.

Very true.

But I mentioned Brexit, because with it, it's easier for the government to pass laws like this. Almost like a sabotage…

Well that's just made my day, thanks. Add to that the fact that the secretary of state for Britishness in Scotland Ali Jackass, has told us that if our pro independence, democractically elected politicians dare speak to colleagues abroad about independence (or about what they had for breakfast), or try to 'promote' independence at Holyrood, they could be 'sanctioned' and 'suspended' in accordance with a new English law being written to stop those pesky, lazy, subsidy junkie Scots, exercising their right to self determination.

Prison will be next, I mean they have arrested three SNP politicians so far, then released them without charge, having taken some of their diamonds and pearls they had stashed away, oh wait that Nicola doesn't take a wage rise, she gives it to charities instead, pah arrest her again and throw away the key!

Shh but the auditors just passed the SNP accounts as legit, shh.

I'm sure lots of private prisons are being designed as we speak.

The new 'law' doesn't apply to the MSP's in the branch offices, registered in and HQ'd in London parties, Tory and Labour and Lib Dems, because they prefer to dance to the tune of their Brexiter masters in London, self flaggelation and seeing people hit over the head with batons.

Not sure if the LabourConTory removal of any right to protest stands in Scotland, re Scots Law.

What a world eh, scary, very scary.

Come to the states for the protests...stay for the political prosecutions.

More shame to labour than to the Tories. Starmer is more law and order than Braverman by a country mile. He was head of prosecutions for goodness sake. In right English form he will continue the law of the few for the order of the many.

It is always a conundrum. Do I laugh or see this as the future and dread. Maybe the answer is simply yes.

The time has come for Britain as it is coming for everywhere else! I'm hearing the lyrics of the Who, "Slip Kid",

"Slip kid, slip kid, realization

There's no easy way to be free

No easy way to be free"
