I hope Hassan will be safe under the watchful eye of all of us given how the obscene Zionist barbarians treat Palestinians.

Poshlost's avatar

Just a moment how can they deport Hassan from her own country? And if she was in her own country she didn't "enter" illegally unless the governing administration says so... and that would be HAMAS wouldn't it?

Hilary Minor's avatar

What a good point! I don't suppose the sub-human barbarians of the IDF give a flying f*c* either way because they are already treating Palestine as though it is part of the Godforsaken State of Israel.

This is so wrong, I’m sure Isreal will apologise and set her free once it realises its mistake.

Well "repatriated" meaning to your motherland ? She is in her motherland. Ha!

They do whatever they want to, so the world can suck eggs and watch impotently. Except, of course, the brave souls who are willing to take this criminal regime on.

Why does the world forget Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya? Fuck the world.

Jennifer Armerding's avatar

I’m of zero consequence, but I think about him every day. He’s one of my heroes.

I pray for the day hopefully soon when the new Pope leads a flotilla of small boats carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza. Let’s see what The Zionazis do then!!

Rebel Nun's avatar

I worry about that. They have no boundaries.

Hilary Minor's avatar

They will be only too happy to shoot the Pope as it will give them miles and miles of newspaper coverage and still nobody will do anything about it.

He spoke about love and kindness and friendship etc at some event recently. Not sure he condemned atrocities where love kindness and friendship could hardly be less at the fore of some humans', quite the opposite.

Murder everyone and blame Hamas...

And all of the white, western world, with possible exception of Ireland, Spain, and Norway, will do absolutely nothing of consequence to have her freed. Especially not the EU.

"In fact, the commandos showed such restraint that they didn’t even strip anyone naked. Well, not that I know of…"

Well, I saw in a news article that the Israeli spokesperson said that they were all undergoing medical examinations to ensure they were in good health. Hopefully it is just that, but it seems a statement that could cover any number of indignities.

Rebel Nun's avatar

Right. Like they’re worried about their good health.

Signing 'deportation' papers is meaningless when the entire world knows the Madleen was pirated by the zyonists in international waters. Their legal fig leaf isn't even as big as a tea leaf.

Jane Peryer's avatar

Pirates taking hostages again. They are such superior narcissistic pirates with guns and white foam. I can remember playing pirates at school. In fact I went on a Puffin Club (when adults got Penguins) trip on Lake Windermere. We dressed like pirates and went on a pirate boat to an island where we were left, to be pirates on shore.

These Israelis are still all like those kids who they trained from birth to kill the enemy, they really haven't grown up at all. There is a coldness about them. They all seem to have a lack of any emotional intelligence. They behave like out of control belligerent teenagers that are precocious and dull and have no insight into how others feel or what other people think about. They don't get 'people'. Im sure the population could be deradicalised and reeducated and rehabilitated so that they no longer feel superior. But the politicians and media in Israel, is an altogether different battle. That is a battle for the courts and the culprits and collaborators all need to be locked up as unfit to be reformed as their problems are ingrained in them, making them dangerous.

I hope lots of boats try to get aid in, in solidarity. Banksy has a boat. He was rescuing refugees from drowning so he may not have it anymore. I don't know anyone with a boat of substance. Just a dinghy and a couple of canoes. Shame.

Well done to the crew for not getting tortured to death.

In Solidarity with Palestine ✊

Once again, Israel leads the way for the rest of the empire in its efforts to abandon all moral restraints and violate international law. The USA is more than eager to follow them off these cliffs.

Rebel Nun's avatar

Very important point. The US, and the UK and Germany, among others, are fully behind this behavior, allowing Israel to lead the way to world fascism while minimizing their own military and public relations risk.

Hetty in Scotchland ;-)'s avatar

I knew they'd be very unlikely to let Rima go with the others. They really do hate the Palestinians so much. Anyone fron say another planet could be forgiven for thinking it was the Palestinians who'd been the nazty ones.

Elizabeth Chandler's avatar

And OF COURSE the Australian Prime Minister and Foreign Minister will remain obediently silent about this imprisonment of a Palestinian member of the Madleen crew, not wanting to offend Israel in any way . 😡😡😡

Paul Jackson's avatar

Are you sure they weren’t made to strip? Them IDF boys surely like to wear women’s underwear, some obscure part of Judaism apparently.

Not all Jews are Zionists. Denigrating the Jewish religion does not move the Palestinian cause forward, nor does it recognize that there are many of us who are proudly Jewish and proudly anti-Zionist. I imagine you were trying to be humorous, but insults are neither funny nor helpful.

GrannyC's avatar

They fly the Jewish flag and they call themselves the Jewish state. Why shouldn’t people call the IDF Jews and refer to to Judaism when speaking of Israelis?

Lisa Feldstein's avatar

Because not all Jews are Israelis, not all Israelis are Jews, and not all Jews are Zionists. The IDF is mostly Jewish, but all Israelis, even the Druze (Islamic) community, serves in the IDF. Even the Haredi (ultra-orthodox Jews) are finally(!) required to serve. The Zionists and the IDF can call Israel the Jewish State, just as Trump can call Canada the 51st state. Neither is a true statement.

I was in Palestine last week with two other American Jews and one Israeli Jew. All four of us are anti-Zionist and work with Palestinians in the West Bank at their invitation. Generalizations are easy, but often miss the truth and perpetuate inaccurate information that sets back Palestinian work to eliminate Israeli interference once and for all.

Dean's avatar

Because not all Jews are Israelis: this is true.

Not all Israelis are Jews: no, you are right; some israeli’s are second or third class citizens…the one’s that aren’t jews!

Not all Jews are Zionists: again true…and not all Zionists are jews…many are western leaders!

Ah, but that IS the dream of Israel…to be 100% jewish, and the goal of the Israeli racism and terror against any non jews in Israel!

To be fair ALL israeli’s are in Palestine!

Lisa Feldstein's avatar

Something I neglected to say in my response to your comment is that the Israeli flag isn’t the “Jewish” flag. The flag represents the political nation-state of Israel. Judaism, the religion, does not have a flag.

GrannyC's avatar

Stop acting like the star of David isn’t the only symbol on the Israeli flag. The star of David is associated with Judaism the same way a cross is associated with Christianity- That’s why Israel chose it. You’re not even being genuine anymore.

Lisa Feldstein's avatar

The symbology of the Mogen David is another example of Israeli appropriation. The six-pointed star on what was adopted as the Israeli flag in 1948 was used to design the *Zionist* flag for the first Zionist Congress. Its use on the flag was meant to symbolize the ideology of Zionism, not the Jewish people or the Jewish religion. Jews - myself included - wear the Star of David to identify ourselves as people who consider themselves culturally and/or religiously Jewish. Jews who self-identify as Zionists wear the Israeli flag to do so. The flag symbolizes the Israeli nation-state and its Zionist ideology, not Judaism or Jewish people. The best example of this non-tautological use of flags is that of the Third Reich. It symbolized a political ideology and claimed representation of all German people and culture, but many of the people who considered themselves proud Germans did not subscribe to Nazi ideology.

Dean's avatar

...and, shouldn't have a NATION either...just like every OTHER religion!

Rebel Nun's avatar

You’re completely right, but I don’t think Paul meant to be insulting. One of the most antisemitic things I’ve ever heard was from Zionist Israelis who defended their behavior of spitting on Christians and their churches by claiming it was a Jewish tradition. This was of course an apparently unintended vile insult to Jews everywhere; I read Paul’s remark as a similar denunciation, with added sarcasm.

Lisa Feldstein's avatar

That is vile and, I agree, incredibly antisemitic. I recognize that the intent was to be humorous. But “jokes” like that make this work so much harder. These sorts of comments have a remarkable ability to make their way to those being made fun of, who then hold it up as “proof” of antisemitism and of Israel’s arrogated “right” to defend itself, which they’ve determined requires eliminating Palestinians from the face of the earth.
