Down here in Mexico there were the Saturday anti-TRUMP protests as there were all over the earth evidently. I didnt go because at 2 pm i is too hot to be marching around the Plaza plus I know what the signs would say - having seen them all over town. "If you voted for Trump, you are not welcomed here. Go home" - There was probably not one protesting Trump suupport of the Netenyahu government and non-support of free speech both of which are my major concerns. An email I received this morinng from a very old-friend -- we are both 87 --bragged about the 10,000 protestors in her very upscale senior citizen community in the states, Her anxieites were about the important things - could her daught er retire when she had planned? Will her gay son in law who is a citizen be able to reenter the states after visiting his family abroad? Would she be able to take another trip paying for her whole family on one of the most expensive tour groups arouund when her multi-millionair dollar stock account is tanking? This is a friend who started out 70 years ago as a lower middle class kid like most of us and landed in a pile of money which is great. But the pile of money has colored her viewpoint on all things trump and not one being free speech or Gaza. I wrote and told her I hoped she could resume her around the world travels with her 6 member family as soon as possible. I will take my diminished account and eat in a good restaurant.
