Well, we all know that mental illness is caused by mentally ill people, just as homelessness is caused by homeless people, so the cost saving opportunities are clear.

But why stop there? Old age is caused by old people, and illness by ill people, so let's just get rid of all of them. Problem solved!

Tempted to add that wars are caused by armies, but that would be a bridge too far.

They're working on it... *Sigh.

Surely this contravenes human rights laws? It's worrying not only that Labour is coming up with authoritarian brainwaves from utter monsters like Streeting and Kendall, but also that it's so politically inept that one suspects we're on the verge of a police state. But Brits can be very stupidly cruel, so ,maybe this to cheer people up when there aren't Israeli atrocities being shown that blame "the other".

On a lighter note, Americans seem to think Starmer's shock troops are "far-left"!

On the verge of a police state?

Utterly ludicrous!

How could you be so ungrateful to our benevolent masters?

The man who was charged for praying outside an abortion clinic only received a fine. He deserved much worse that despicable bustard.

We are actually very merciful, as long as you submit completely and allow your body to be used for medical experiments, you'll live a fine life. If you work super hard you might even be allowed to collect a pension, who knows.

What are these “human rights” you speak of? Some ancient concept people used to believe in? 🤔

Dx's avatar

Keir Starmer outlawed them. At least I assume that was what he was doing when he used to cos-play as a human rights lawyer?

DILLIGAF?IDO's avatar

Starmer, as far as I can see, has never considered disabled and carers 'human'. :o/

Surely, according to Herr Starmer he’s the only human that matters. I’m wondering how long it will take before his supporters and fans realize he will throw them under the proverbial bus when he wants to.

Hey, it's a great idea. They can all be moved into Downing Street.

DILLIGAF?IDO's avatar

You mean, they're not already running a pilot scheme there? Goodness me...

How else do they explain getting rid of Sue Gray mere weeks into her job, after investing all that time and money to court her into the role? Starmer poncing around in clothes and glasses another adult man he is not related to, bought for him? Oh and doing this while cutting pensioners winter fuel allowances, refusing to raise the threshold so those pensioners on the very lowest income now have too much money to benefit by only a mere few quid? Oh and keeping the 2nd child cap putting nearly an extra half a million families across the poverty line since Labour came to power? While spying on disabled people's bank accounts, to ensure, you know, that they really are spending every penny of their State benefits in Tescos (because although general inflation is coming down, food inflation is still around 9%) and not jetting off the Bahamas for the winter.

And here was me thinking they were all nuts... ;o)

I believe that it could be a fine idea to train all of us crazies and useless eaters in the culinary arts.

Give us all some sharp “knives out”, and we can practice carving, cutting, slaughtering, and rendering.

After a little time, we can enjoy some fine eat the rich filets.

Mike Fish's avatar

I’ll admit that it requires a select palate.

Personally, I’m not hungry, but I wouldn’t mind seeing plenty of billionaires on the buffet.

Maybe we could make the slaughters ceremonial.

Leader, instead of slave sacrifice.

Either you cheer the fuck up or they can take care of you.

So, just keep on drinking you fluoridated water and don’t worry, soon the entire country will be retarded and thereby, no more risks of individuals outsmarting the politicunts.

The rule of shut up or go to prison will finally work, and everyone will be happily sedated “always”

After all, who needs smart kids when you can call machines “smart” and “intelligent”

Thx X

Free energy will never be a 'thing'. Who will profit from that? ;o/

I see in the business pages this morning that 19% of energy companies are on the verge of bankruptcy. In this market?! How is that even possible? Unless it is because their price gouging means that the majority of their customers are defaulting; and the profits they do make are being syphoned off to pay shareholders leaving nothing for the actual business to run on.

"632,756 UK businesses in ‘significant’ financial distress in the third quarter of this year – a 32% rise compared with a year earlier.

Significant’ financial distress increased in almost every one of the sectors covered by the latest Red Flag Alert survey.

It rose particularly rapidly among utilities companies (+19.3%), food & drug retailers (+10.4%), financial services (+9.94%) and bars & restaurants (+8.7%).

But, there was a drop 17% year-on-year drop in the number of businesses in ‘critical’ financial distress (close to insolvency).

Julie Palmer, partner at Begbies Traynor, says 2024 has been hard to navigate for companies, which have been hit by high inflation – and could face new taxes in the budget."

Important information about Ozimpic (semaglutide), the weight loss drug, from your friendly NICE: it might kill you but not worry, that's one less fat person taking up valuable space in the corridor of an NHS hospital.

Important safety information For semaglutide

MHRA/CHM advice: GLP-1 receptor agonists: reports of diabetic ketoacidosis when concomitant insulin was rapidly reduced or discontinued (June 2019)

Serious and life-threatening cases of diabetic ketoacidosis have been reported in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus on a combination of insulin and the glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist exenatide, liraglutide, or dulaglutide, particularly after discontinuation or rapid dose reduction of concomitant insulin. The MHRA has not currently received any UK reports of diabetic ketoacidosis with the GLP-1 receptor agonists lixisenatide and semaglutide but this risk cannot be excluded. Healthcare professionals are advised that any dose reduction of insulin should be done in a stepwise manner with careful blood glucose self-monitoring, particularly when GLP-1 receptor agonist therapy is initiated. Patients should be informed of the risk factors for and signs and symptoms of diabetic ketoacidosis, and advised to seek immediate medical attention if these develop.

I always thought after Nuremberg they had to ask us if we wanted to die before they killed us.

William Bowles's avatar

No, now it's mandatory, too fat, the govt buys the Ozimpic for £120 a jab and you go to your friendly GP and he/she administers the coup de grace.

Dx's avatar

That's one way to actually get a GP appointment.

In 2021, the human population was induced by fear into accepting the legitimacy of mandatory medication, an obvious violation of a most basic human right- the control of your own body. It was a very bad precedent. Big Pharma now owns us.

So what if they were to put the money they spend on these so called health coaches back into the mental health service to give people the real care they deserve. Would that not make more sense but of course the people who are making these decisions need the coaches even more .

Maria Wiblin-moreno's avatar

Exactly but they don’t want to help people, they want to kill them. That is very clear. They only care about the very wealthy.

... and so, a society that considers itself to be considerate of disadvantage, even compassionate and empathetic to those suffering 'hidden' disease, disorientation, (legal) drug side effects and ever increasing horror and despondency at the continuation of privilege and wealth increasing, year by year, the gap between the financially poor and financially indecently wealthy - continues the delusions of the past and appalling treatment of the mentally ill or dysfunctional by blaming the victims of a society, now virtually devoid of morals, by blaming its victims.

Philippa Rees's avatar

I have an idea that may solve many areas of 'difficulty'. Instead of the proposals to bring back the draft for the new 'European Army' why not provide cheap uniforms for the mentally ill ( PPR anyone?- queue nicely now) and send them all off to act as human shields in South Lebanon? Or ambulance drivers in Gaza? That way, you save on euthanasia costs as well. The population is reduced, our quota for the European army is filled, and Israel is happy to shoot anyone to keep the atrocity going. Win-win all round.

William Bowles's avatar

Would they know who to shoot first?

Not sure Israel makes distinctions. Massacres mean everyone. Same for Ukraine, cannon fodder tastes the same to the cannon!
