Though it's not quite true. The US isn't short on bombs. They're short on arms compared to Russia and realise they can't win the proxy war, but there's plenty for flattening Gaza.

There's something to be said for "fighting," I mean, dropping a few massive 2000 lb. cluster bombs from a distance by pushing a button, "a war," I mean, a genocide, on 2 million mostly defenseless men, women and children who have no well equipped army, air force, drones, tanks, military bases (let alone food and water)... just makeshift tunnels... on a 25 mile long, 5 mile wide stretch of well loved and once beautifully tended land and olive trees. I was just thinking about how completely the roles have switched in the TV drama. If a nuclear bomb exploded in Beijing or Moscow, most of the world would be outraged. But if a bomb exploded in Washington DC, most of the world would think, "meh,.. understandable."
I consider myself pretty lucky. Living in an area like bomber county surrounded by prime targets the nuclear blast will undoubtedly immolate me before I know anything about it. Living the dream!

The threat is not from Starmer, nor (anymore) from neoliberalism, nor from WWIII (at least not over Ukraine).
All this is all talk and no trousers. It's boasting to hide the fact that NATO lost the proxy war; Russia wasn't weakened. Now Trump wants to pivot to weakening China, but Washington's little puppies in the UK and EU can't just blame their predecessors for provoking the Russian SMO, nor for blocking peace in April 2022. However the opposition can and this is working out well for Le Pen and the AfD who are making lots of political capital out of Starmer and Macron trying to dump Ukraine without looking like the cynical, heartless bastards that they are.
The threat is from Christian Nationalism.
