I believe that there is a distribution but it is a distribution skewed to the not so good side. I think there is a lot of goodness but not enough and it is certainly not helped by religions that have sadistic gods.
The " Big 3 " monotheistic religions are major offenders, polytheists or pantheists are more peaceful, generally.
I’m sorry but I do not agree. Sargon the Great was polytheistic when he conquered Sumeria and other places and created the first empire. The following kingdoms were always at war and were polytheistic,.the ancient Babylonians, Medianites, Assyrians, Greeks, Romans, Celts, Vikings, Scythians Chinese, Japanese, Koreans, Indians, early Israelites, Mongols, Phythians, Egyptians, Slavic groups, and more were polytheistic and were almost constantly at war. War just appears to be part of human nature.

It’s even more sinister than that. Many hardcore evangelicals subscribe to the belief that Jews returning to Israel is necessary for the fulfillment of biblical prophecy and the second coming. And when that does happen they believe the Jews will be given the choice to convert to Christianity or perish. Their love for Israel is in no way based in a respect for the Jewish faith.
